Jim McColl

Jim McColl, the son of a Helensburgh parks superintendent, he grew up to become the best know face in Scottish horticulture.  Veteran Broadcaster Jim McColl is most famous for being the long serving presenter of BBC’s Scotland’s The Beechgrove Garden programme. Jim first presented the programme in 1978 with George Barron who remained a presenter until he retired in 1984. Jim continues to present the programme today and in 2016 Jim was honoured with the Royal Television Society Scotland Award.  Come along and see Jim in the Floral Marquee on Saturday 2 September.
