Scotch Broth recipes vary from region to region, and century to century! There is no definitive recipe, but the broth should / must include the following ingredients:

  • Lamb or Mutton and/or Beef
  • Barley (pearl or pot)
  • Onion
  • Leek
  • Turnip
  • Carrot
  • Cabbage or Kale
  • Marrowfat Peas
