The Dundee Flower and Food Festival is Scotland's largest competitive event and the region's top lifestyle attraction, offering the best in horticulture, food and live entertainment. As one of Dundee's major annual events, the festival has developed into a three-day extravaganza involving a host of attractions.
With over two acres of marquees set in the magnificent grounds at Camperdown Park, the festival has become a high profile, popular and very successful lifestyle event.
The festival attracts ever increasing numbers of visitors (average attendance 18,000). Every year garden and food enthusiasts travel from miles around for a feast of activity and the opportunity to see some fantastic displays. As well as over 700 competitive classes, the event offers a range of displays, including floral art demonstrations, craft fair, children's themed activity marquee, live bands and entertainers.
The food festival element has grown to provide visitors with the chance to see a high quality three-day cookery programme featuring celebrity and local chefs. Some of the best quality local, national and international produce can be purchased in the large food festival marquee.
Each year the organisers and their dedicated marketing team work to provide new and varied personalities and attractions. In 2018 we welcomed Christine Walkden as our celebrity gardening guest, 2016 Masterchef: The Professionals winner Gary Maclean, TV present and farmer JB Gill and children's entertainer and presenter Mr Bloom and His Band. Previous years have included Chefs Gino D'Acampo, Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry, The Hairy Bikers and Nick Nairn, gardeners Joe Swift, Jim McColl and Carole Baxter and children's TV presenter and actor Andy Day.
